Scientists are making new discoveries every day, but many of them fall under the radar. Some of these findings are life-changing, while others expand our knowledge of the world around us. The top scientific innovations for 2025 come from academic teams around the world working on crop science, agriculture and food sustainability, biopharmaceutical research, healthcare and medical technologies, and innovations in chemistry, engineering, materials and energy. One of these that caught my attention was the night vision lenses. Look what the lenses do.

“Night-vision contact lenses: Scientists have developed a contact lens that makes it possible to see infrared light. This is a major step forward in wearable technology: it gives users night vision, helps people with color blindness perceive colors, and may even allow data transmission via infrared light signals.”

Some scientists call it a "super eye" or "superhuman eye." The first thing that came to my mind when I read the news was, how close have we come to Superhuman?

Today, efforts to create “Superhumans” are concentrated in various fields such as genetic engineering, neurotechnology, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence. On the other hand, the rapid development of this process could herald revolutionary changes in humanity's biological and social structure. Technology is very close to transcending human biological limitations, but this journey brings with it a great responsibility.

From a futuristic perspective, it's important to ask whether this process will create a conflict with the essence of humanity. Can humankind's search for meaning, values, and conscious being evolve in harmony with technology? Perhaps, as humanity develops these technologies, it's time to reexamine what it means to be human. Because while we must transcend biological and mental boundaries, we must also not lose sight of the meaning of being human. Every step taken toward becoming a "Superhuman" can make us stronger, but the question of how ethical and meaningful this power is will be one of the most crucial issues shaping the future.

Are humans greedy? YES. Do they want to be immortal? YES. Do they want to rule the world? YES. Looking at the questions, it's clear what's required for all of this: a superhuman. A high-level human with equipment that enhances their strength and abilities. If you ask me, I'm one of those who thinks that not all of the technological and scientific advancements announced each year are disclosed, kept secret. I'm sure many breakthroughs have already occurred, such as the use of almost all of our brains through drugs like NZT-48 in the famous movie "Limitless." I don't know if anyone hasn't seen it, but if they have, I recommend watching it today.

Unfortunately, decency and insight, crucial to humanity, have already hit rock bottom, even before they've become superhuman. Have you ever thought about what kind of person will emerge when DNA is changed, talent chips are inserted, and necessary vaccines are injected, while humanity has already lost its essence?
